Through the website TinyShowcase, I have come to love one artist in particular: Jen Corace. There is a certain feeling behind her work that I enjoy. Sort of sad, sort of sweet… And, it’s kind of girly. I have a letterpress at my desk that I enjoy. What do you think?

Picasso light

That’s Pablo Picasso drawing with a flashlight. I was totally blown away because I did something similar to this with a lit sparkler and the help of a friend/photographer I worked with at the newspaper. I (literally) wrote the headline, she shot it and we Photoshopped it together. It wasn’t that easy either. But ol’ Pablo makes it look pretty simple.  Amazing.

The story goes that Picasso was inspired by the work of a LIFE photographer. That same photographer took this picture and several others.
