It’s been awhile since we’ve done one of these, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. What do you think about the redesign of the Girl Scout logo and it’s identity update?
Here’s the scoop:
Objective: To better engage girls with a more relevant programming and activities
What they did:
- Added more stylish, youthful bangs and more realistic, perky noses
- Used lowercase font to make the words more approachable
- Logo placement to right and slightly above the words is meant to “proudly lead the way like the prow of the ship,” according to designers Jennifer Kinon and Bobby Martin
The green looks brighter and more livelier to me, although I can’t be 100% certain it’s new.
